Greg Goodall, Head Engineer for Ford’s Future Model Year Performance Vehicles, that the inspiration behind Polymimetic Grey comes from the liquid metal alloy featured in Terminator 2. In the 1991 blockbuster, the T-1000 Terminator was composed of this polymimetic alloy, allowing it to morph into various forms and shapes.

Beyond its eye-catching exterior, the 2025 Mustang GTD is a powerhouse on wheels. Serving as the street-legal counterpart to Ford’s GT3 racing car, it boasts the potential to conquer the Nurburgring Nordschleife in under 7 minutes – a feat that could make it the fastest car on this renowned track.
The heart of this coupe is a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine. While Ford hasn’t officially disclosed the output, the target is set at over 800 horsepower with a redline exceeding 7,500 rpm. Paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transaxle located at the rear, the GTD ensures a near-perfect 50-50 weight distribution.
